Adults and Youth - 4 hours - Up to 12 students: In this workshop students will have the opportunity to make a variety of papers from natural and recycled fibres. We will begin by breaking down the fibres in acid-free recycled paper and then combining them with other fibers, such as cattail, thistle, seeds, cotton fabric, poplar fluff, blue jeans and more, making 6-8 different paper pulps. We will then have the opportunity to create papers from each of the pulp vats using the templates provided. Most students are able to make 10 - 15 unique pieces of paper to take home after the workshop.
Children - 2 hours - Up to 15 students: Students will cover the same material as in the longer, adult workshop, but more emphasis is placed on making different colors of paper rather than on using so many different types of natural fibers. Most students are able to make 3-5 unique pieces of paper to take home after the workshop.
