The first step in making paper is to make the pulp. In the workshop, we use a variety of material such as: old jeans, poplar fluff, cattail fluff, recycled paper, thistles, etc.
Then comes the step where we take the pulp and "pull a sheet of paper" onto a screen. >

< We can also pour it, using different pulps to create one piece of paper.

After using another screen to press some of the water out, we layit upside down on a towel and "j"cloth. >

< We press the towel on it to dry it enough to get it off the screen.

"Flicking" it to get it off. >

< Rolling it to press together the fibres - this makes the paper stronger.

"Ta da!" A beautiful unique piece of paper. >
